Henry May Jr.
Hello Family, I am Henry E. May Jr. the Second Great Grandson of Theodore and Minerva Cavendish-May, the Great Grandson of Doctor Lynch and Rachel (Oliver) May, the Grandson of John Hannibal and Bernetha (Herring) May, and the son of Henry E. May Sr. and Leola (Howard) May. I am never too comfortable talking about myself so suffice to say this biography will be more about who I not what I do. Yes, I've served in the Military, Yes, I've gone to College, and Yes, I've had a successful career as a Programmer and Information Technologies Consultant, but all that I've accomplished pales in comparison to the greatest job I've ever held...I am a "Father"!
My siblings are Broderick May Sr., and Rhonda (May) Page. Clara Bell May, and Irma (May) Scott, are my sisters from my Fathers first marriage. I have four wonderful children, my sons, Corey Christopher May, Brett Alan May Sr., Brandon Michael May, and one daughter, Candace Marie May. I have two Grandsons, Brett Alan May Sr., and Myles Brandon May! I've been blessed to be from and a part of such a warm and loving family.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan! Both sides of my family migrated to Detroit. My Father from Delhi, Louisiana, and my Mother migrated from Autaugaville, Alabama. Ultimately, my family moved to California and I currently live in Riverside, California.
My mother and father were the organizers and originators of the first formal "May Family Reunions". My mother was somewhat fascinated at the "May Family" history, and set about the arduous chore of compiling the "May Family Tree". Contacting family across the country, she and my father, clipped pictures from our family albums, typed family birth records, and compiled the first record of the lives and history of the "May Family". To date, the original book has been passed between family members, and I still get an occasional request for a copy of this wonderful historical record.
My mother passed away December 13th 2006, and shortly after her passing, my cousin Vallistenye (May) Jones contacted me about continuing the work that my Mother and Father had started. Unbeknownst to Vallistenye, I had begun working with my Mother on a more comprehensive "Family Book". My mother and I (before her passing) began working on a formal family ancestry book. I remember how excited my mother would be when I discovered family member records from as far back as the 1850's. Family was always her passion, and it has been my goal to completely formalize her dream of a "Historical Family Record". This record (which will always be a work in progress), will be available at the 2015 Family Reunion. Vallistenye has carried forward the coordinating of the family reunion, and as you can see, several other family members are providing leadership and assistance to keeping our family connections together.
My Dad and I are currently reviewing all the family history I've compiled and getting the information ready for publishing. I am proud to be a part of this journey, and as all of you who know me will attest. I care!

Well Hello!
Guess you know by now, the May family Admins are at it again! This time we are making the reunion bigger and better than before! My name is Vallistenye May-Jones the daughter of Pauline May, granddaughter of Hayward and Emma Carroll May and Great Granddaughter of Doctor Lynch and Rachel Oliver- May.
I'm the mother of three, and grandmother of 6, Married for 35 years to my high school sweet heart, Bryan Keith Jones. I'm a graduate of Delhi High School, attended Grambling State University
We moved to Dallas, TX where I was employed at Wyndham Hotel Corporate Office as an Accounting for over 8 years, later move to my present job at Dallas County. I'm a member of New Mount Zion Baptist Chuch in Dallas, and a Member of the OES Chapter 75 in Delhi, La for over 30 years.
My May family, we know we have to continue to embrace and celebrate one another, our heritage, our accomplishments and our trials. Social Media like "Facebook" have connected over 500 "May Family" members from across the United States and Germany. Through life's journey, it's within this "May family" we can see our differences, celebrate our successes and our failures.
To put family first is what I see in the "May Family Branches". On our group page, the May Family "Circle of Life" Connected Here, On Facebook, each new member that comes into the group is made to feel welcome and love by each of the 8 branches. The Admins wouldn't have it any other way, that's the bottom line!

Hello family, I am Anita May Jeter, Administrator of the Doctor May Branch. I am the daughter of Clyde May Sr. the granddaughter of Hannibal May, and the great-granddaughter of Doctor Lynch and Rachel Oliver- May.
I work for Head Start over twenty years, and work with mentally challenge adults for over fifteen years. I'm also a recents graduate of Northwestern State University.
I have three children, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. I was born and raised in Los Angeles California.
In 1994 I move toWinnfield Louisiana. The most that I enjoy in life is being with my family.
I would like to welcome all of my family to the May Family Reunion on July 21 - 23, 2017.

I am Broderick May Sr. Great Grandson of Theodore and Minerva Cavendish-May, the Great Grandson of Doctor Lynch and Rachel (Oliver) May, the Grandson of John Hannibal and Bernetha (Herring) May, and the son of Henry E. May Sr. and Leola (Howard) May.
My profession is an Associate Information’s Systems Analyst for the State of California, parks and recreations for the last 18 years. I am President of 1luvproduction which puts on Jazz festivals at one of our California State parks. Spent time working for LAX and for other companies until I found my niche.
My siblings are Henry E. May Jr., and Rhonda (May) Page. Clara Bell May, and Irma (May) Scott, are my sisters from my Fathers first marriage. I have four wonderful children, my sons, Broderick May Jr. and Vincent L. May, Daughters Tanisha Owens and Olisa Morgan. I have 7 grandchildren.
